Boston Heights, OH - A sea of blue gathered together on Saturday to say good-bye to fellow officer Jarod Dean, who was killed on Monday, ending his 2 and a half year career in law enforcement and 24 years of life.

Police from all across the State of Ohio attended the funeral services for Officer Dean that were held Saturday at St. Mary Church in Hudson.

Afterward a long line of police cruisers and fire trucks made their way to the final resting place for the falling officer, Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.

Dean, of Hudson was killed when he was struck by a truck while clearing debris from the roadway in Boston Heights.

He had been with the Boston Heights Police Department for about 6 months. He was previously an officer with the Windham Police Department.

Officer Dean will be remembered for his dedication to police service by his friends and fellow officers. Service that cost him his life.
